Construction on Kerrs Corner Road  

Kerrs Corner Road will be under construction on or before August 29, 2011. The work will include milling of the existing road, resurfacing, pavement crack sealing and guide rail installation along the shoulder of the road between house #223 on Kerrs Corner Road and Lanning Road. Antler Ridge Sponsors Free Seminar

The Antler Ridge Wildlife Sanctuary will offer a free presentation on Saturday, September 10th, from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the North Warren Farm & Home Supply, located at 2 Bridge Street in Blairstown.  "Birds in your Yard" will feature Donna from the Raptor Trust.  The presentation is free and open to the public.  Call Antler Ridge at 973-800-2420 or visit the sanctuary website at www.antler-ridge.com.

Free Mother Nature Day at Antler Ridge Wildlife Sanctuary      

Area residents are invited to hike the nature trails and take a tour of Antler Ridge Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday, September 17th, from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.  Featuring guest speakers, artists, vendors and organic food.   Speakers include Navajo Medicine Man Sam Tso, Animal Communicator Barbara Goodfriend, and Antler Ridge Medical Director, Dr. Karen Dashfield.  Vendors who are interested in hosting a table are encouraged to contact Renae Jensen at 908-797-5225 or via email at renaejensen@gmail.com. 

The day will conclude with a traditional Native American Fire Circle conducted by Sam Tso at 5:00 p.m.  Limited seating  is available for the Fire Circle; reservations are required.  Fee for the fire circle is $45.  For more information, contact Antler Ridge at 908-800-2420 or visit their website at www.antlerridge.com. 

Area Schools Host Back-to-School Nights   

Parents are invited to Back-to-School Nights at area schools in September.  North Warren High School will host a Back-to-School Night on Wednesday, September 14th at 7:00 p.m.  The North Warren Middle School Back-to-School Night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 21st at 7:00 p.m.  Frelinghuysen Elementary School will welcome parents on Thursday, September 22nd at 7:00 p.m.   

Parent Nights at North Warren   

North Warren High School will host special Parent Nights during the month of September.  Parents of 12th grade students are invited to meet at the school on Thursday, September 8th at 6:30 p.m.  Parents of 11th grade students will meet on Thursday, September 15th at 6:30 p.m.  The 10th grade Parent Night is scheduled for Tuesday, September 27th at 6:30 p.m.  Learn about the unique issues facing your child this year.  For more information visit the school website, www.northwarren.org. 

Golf Outing on behalf of Camp Johnsonburg 

The Johnsonburg Presbyterian Center will host its 6th annual golf outing at the Minebrook Golf Club on Saturday, September 10th.  The outing begins at 1:00 p.m.  For more information, call 908-852-2349 or visit the center's website at www.campjburg.org.   

Genesis Farms Hosts Seminars 

Genesis Farms will host a series of seminars this month.  Seeking the Wisdom of Plants will take place September  19th - 11th.  Learn how your garden and backyard can be sanctuaries for healing.   

For those interested in learning how to move from dependency on oil to more localized resources, an Overview of the Transition Movement will be offered Wednesday, September 14th.  An Introduction to Deep Transition will be held September 15th - 18th.   

Leda Meredith will host Food Preservation on September 24th & 25th.   

The Autumn Equinox will be celebrated on Saturday, September 24th.
