About Us
The Township of Frelinghuysen Municipal Alliance Committee
sponsors various drug and alcohol free related programs and events, they
include:
North Warren Regional High School - Project Graduation
-
on graduation night a drug/alcohol free event is held at an undisclosed
facility where graduates are chaperoned, bused to and from and enjoy an
evening of fun, games, food and entertainment from 11 pm until 6 am.
Founder’s Day Picnic -
Municipal Alliance co-sponsors
this event along with the Frelinghuysen Recreation Committee. A substance
abuse-free picnic for town residents held for five hours.
Halloween Party - Municipal Alliance sponsors a drug and
alcohol free Halloween Party open to all residents. For three hours we serve
hot dogs, cider, coffee, tea and lots of treats in a spooky atmosphere held
at Town Hall.
Senior Luncheon - A three hour luncheon is sponsored by
Municipal Alliance for about ninety seniors with a speaker who addresses
substance abuse prevention/awareness issues.
Newsletter - Municipal Alliance develops a town
newsletter that provides information regarding our activities and events as
well as statewide and community drug and alcohol awareness and
rehabilitation programs.

In September 2006 the Municipal Alliance Committee sponsored
a poster contest for all grades. Each grade was given a title and each grade
had one winner. Each participant received $1.00 coupon, winners were
rewarded with a $10.00 coupon for use at the School Book Fair. The contest
was titled: S.U.P.E.R. = Strength Under Pressure for Early Results.
Forty-two students participated and parents were encouraged to help.
The Township of Frelinghuysen Municipal Alliance Committee
receives grant monies from Warren County Department of Human Services to
provide parent/child awareness programs/events throughout the year.
