The Frelinghuysen Office of Emergency Management (FTOEM) is tasked with developing, implementing, and maintaining the Township approved Emergency Operations Plans (EOP). The purpose of the Frelinghuysen EOP is to protect life and property grounded in the established phases of Emergency Management at the local, state, and federal level: Planning, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery.
The proactive nature of the EOP helps to guide elected officials, Township employees and professionals, citizens, volunteers, and businesses in response to disasters that occur naturally or because of human - caused actions, as well as other types of traumatic incidents that may affect the community. The EOP helps the Township to mitigate the impact of disaster by identifying and reducing potential risks to life and property.
The Township of Frelinghuysen is committed to providing necessary emergency management and preparedness information through community awareness, education, effective legislation, and training to mitigate the disaster and traumatic related incidents before they occur.
Residents and community stakeholders are encouraged to take the time to familiarize themselves with precautions and recommendations for maintaining personal pre-incident preparedness. The FTOEM will maintain current and relevant links for review and reference.
